La Bicyclette Verte saw the light of day in 1986. Danielle and Pierre Alain, the founders, then set out to introduce people to the Marais Poitevin via the towpaths, footpaths and cycle paths that wind through this kingdom of greenery. With more than 500 km of slopes, the Regional Natural Park is very well equipped in this area and allows you to discover villages, rivers, conches, canals and wild areas with complete peace of mind.

Aware that the potential is enormous, Pierre Alain and Danielle continue their journey, by bike, to the Atlantic coast. With their children, they experience the joys of slow-tourism and the sensations it provides. Inspired by our Dutch and German neighbors, they introduced bicycle travel to France and, as early as 1992, offered a catalog that slightly went beyond the borders of the Marais Poitevin. The Canal du Midi, the Loire Valley, the Netherlands, the Danube… and many other destinations are available to French customers. Today, more than 12 European countries and nearly 150 turnkey circuits are offered in the catalog.
More recently, in 2020, SARL RESPIRE launched BicyBAGS. Taking advantage of the boom in cycling travel in France and around the world, BicyBAGS aims to make life easier for tourism professionals and cycle riders, whether they are beginners or experienced. By combining its logistics expertise and its experience as a bicycle rental company, BicyBAGS mainly offers 3 services allowing light travel:
